Salvation
The invitation we offer to you that is FREE is simply an extension of what God has already given to everyone through Jesus Christ. You see, no matter what your background is, where you come from, or what your life experiences have been, God gave His Son, Jesus, so that you would not have to die, and have eternal separation from God, but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Do you know where you will spend eternity?
You might think, “Well I’m a good person, and give to the poor and needy. Surely, I’m going to heaven.” Or, “I belong to this denomination or church, and surely, I’m going to heaven.” Or even, “It doesn’t matter which religion I choose, I’ll go to heaven when I die. All paths lead to God.” NO! There is only one-way for salvation and that is through Jesus Christ only.
Biblical salvation is God’s way of providing his people deliverance from sin and spiritual death through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament, the concept of salvation is rooted in Israel’s deliverance from Egypt in the Book of Exodus. The New Testament reveals the source of salvation in Jesus Christ. By faith in Jesus Christ, believers are saved from God’s judgment of sin and its consequence—eternal death.
When Adam and Eve rebelled, man was separated from God through sin. God’s holiness required punishment and payment (atonement) for sin, which was (and still is) eternal death. Our death is not sufficient to cover the payment for sin. Only a perfect, spotless sacrifice, offered in just the right way, can pay for our sin. Jesus, the perfect God-man, came to offer the pure, complete and everlasting sacrifice to remove, atone, and make eternal payment for sin. Why? Because God loves us and desires an intimate relationship with us:
Read along and see what the Bible has to say. All scripture references are taken from the New King James Version of the Bible.
John 3:(16-17)16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 3:3
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Romans 5:12
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
These passages above explain that all have sinned and no matter what good you do in life, it cannot earn you eternal life. Even if you never knowingly committed sin in your life, you were born with a sin nature and often it is passed down the generational blood-line. Believing that if you are just part of a membership to a certain organization, church, or denomination cannot save you, because salvation is a free gift from God, you must receive Jesus by your will into your heart.
The Bible goes on further to say:
Acts 4:12
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
How then Does One Become Saved? The Bible says:
Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Even Your Household shall be Saved!
Acts 16:30-31
30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Believe in your heart, and make a simple confession with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord. This is all you have to do to be saved. When you call upon Jesus by confessing Him as Lord of your life, you will be saved. There is no question about it. Have Faith that you received Him in your HEART and it is DONE!
A Prayer For Salvation – Accept Your Gift from God
Should you decide to accept the gift of eternal life God has made available to you through Jesus Christ, believe in your heart and say the following prayer out loud:
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. I come to you now, and I ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
“I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that You died for me, bearing my sins for me. I believe that You rose from the dead, and are alive right now.
Dear Jesus, come into my life now! Come into my heart now. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will.
I believe in my heart, therefore, I say with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior. Amen.
